Mumbai: Mumbai's railway stations are known for their heavy crowd. Dadar railway station is considered one of the busiest in Mumbai. On Monday, a shocking incident occurred at this station. Two passengers carrying travel trolley bags were on platform number 11. They were to travel by the Tutari Express. However, the railway police noticed their bags. They stopped the two and inspected the bags, leading to a shocking discovery. The police found a blood-stained dead body in the bag. The accused were arrested. They had killed a person and were attempting to dispose of the body in Konkan by taking it on the Tutari Express.
The deceased has been identified as Arshad Ali Sadiq Ali Shaikh, aged 30. The body was crammed into the bag by the accused. The names of the accused are Shivajit Singh and Praveen Chawda, both of whom are reportedly mute. Shivajit Singh is on the run. The murder took place in the Paydhuni area of Mumbai, and the case has been transferred to the local police station there.
According to the police, on Monday, two mute individuals were on platform number 11 at Dadar railway station, about to travel on the Tutari Express. They had a large wheeled travel trolley bag. While carrying the bag, they appeared exhausted and frightened. Both were sweating profusely. This aroused the suspicion of the Railway Protection Force personnel Santoshkumar Yadav and police constable Madhav Kendre, who were on patrol. They stopped the two and asked them to open the bag.
Upon opening the bag, the police were shocked, and there was a commotion at the railway station. The bag contained a blood-stained dead body with severe injuries. When the police detained the two, one of the accused fled. He was later arrested in Ulhasnagar. Upon further questioning, the police learned that the body was that of Arshad Ali Sadiq. Arshad, a resident of Kalina in Santacruz, was killed by Shivajit Singh and Praveen Chawda. The two were attempting to dispose of the body by taking it on the Tutari Express. However, due to the police's suspicion, their plan was foiled. The police have also seized the weapon used in the crime. The accused have been charged, and they will be presented in court today.
